::Ocean's Fourteenth, Fifteenth and Sixteenth::

~~I just realised that i havent said a word about not wearing a skirt to the movies!haha silly old me. Anyway, now you'll find out in the second part of my movie-marathon weekend:)

~~So, after The Namesake, we waited for the credits to roll till the end (was it a mistake?cos i love to wait for it hehe). And when it ended, well let's just say we didnt have much time left to do anything, let alone grab lunch or something to munch. At that point, we were hungry. Like really really hungry (yang hungry jenis tummy-clutching and forehead-frowning) but we just didnt have enough time to stuff anything satisfying for our tummies. So, we decided to just skip food altogether, and have lunch after Ocean's13, around 7pm-ish..and that, my friends, was Mistake #2.

~~While waiting for the cinema to be ready, a group of13, 000 people started to gather at the counter, all waiting to be allowed inside. And yes, they were ALL watching Ocean's13...what luck! By now, we guessed the cinema will be packed, full-housed and of course,noisy and buzzing with people inconsiderate enough to NOT silence their phones, close their mouths while chomping on popcorn, and smooch their girlfriends a little quieter.

~~aahhh but we were wrong, because apparently the crowd wasnt all that bad..hmm. for once Malaysians behaved. Could have been a first, i say.

~~OK. The movie was awesome as usual, way better than Ocean's12, because it went back to it's tried-and-tested success formula as in the one in Oceans's11. Meaning that, they're back to hitting on casinos! Yeah baby!:) As my brother said, the movie this time reveals how the Ratpack team pulled the heist before pulling the heist. Unlike Ocean's12 which showed the-hows after it was all done (On The Night Fox's beautiful verandah). So, all in all, it was a movie worth catching at the cinema and i'm proud to say this movie definitely did not fail the franchise. I mean, who else can work shiny suits, shirts and ties but George Clooney and Brad Pitt? (mind you:i do not have a thing for these 2 actors ok!) haha.

~~This time around, exactly when the movie ended, Exhibit A, my other friend and yours truly did not even wait, not so much as the ending song to begin, and we immediately got our bums up and started running for the door! it was such a 'buruk' sight!haha. 3veryhungrygirls. stay away and stay clear,cos we will devour, anything that comes near!haha:D

~~You know, how they have advertisements before the movie starts? yeah,well one of them definitely served it's purpose. When we rushed out the theatre, in a matter of 5seconds, we decided to have 'lunch' at Chicken Rice Shop.haha(Dont you find the song to the commercial annoying?-"The Chicken rice Shop" urrrgh! So, we each had a yummy plate of 'nasi ayam' and they were polished in a matter of few minutes. (tsktsk our mums would have been ashamed of us hehe)

~~Finally we did a little walking around, not much of window-shopping though. Now let me explain why. You see, Exhibit A wanted to meet a "friend", but she was 'malu2' because it would be their first meeting. So when we got to infront of FCUK, she freaked out!She wanted out!She wanted to stay, but she wanted to go!She wanted us to not leave her side! But when the "friend"
came, she LEFT us, gaping and staring at her cute behind! Not a single introduction or a goodbye even! haha. That moment was so funny, that my other friend and i didnt know how to react, so we just planted ourselves on the 'tempat duduks' there, in shock. When we finally recovered, and was walking inside Zara, Exhibit A called and was asking where we were, freaking out and all.hahaha:D Then finally, she introduced us and then *awkward silence* *more awkward silence* Right. She said goodbye, giving a lame excuse which anyone could see right through it, and grabbed our hands, and we left the "friend"!haha. The next few minutes were spent walking aimlessly trying to see whether he was stalking Exhibit A. well, apparently he was not. I guess we were just a bunch of paranoid losers:P

~~That weekend, on Saturday June 10th, was my friend, Babe's (not real name hehe) birthday. She invited me to her tea-party in Bangsar Village, but i couldnt go, because i've already made the movie-marathon promise. So, instead of me going to meet her, she came to meet me!!yeay!double yeay! why the celebration you ask? oh well, probably cause she's from PENANG!!!she came down to KL just to celebrate her birthday here, and im soooooo superexcited to get to meet her!and it made it all special, cause she still wanted to see me eventhough i couldnt get to the tea-party. And oooh how much i love her more cause she baked me (and her boyfriend and her bestfriend) chewwwwwy chocolate chip cookies! *scuse adora for going on a sugar roll here*
So we met, talked, laughed, took pictures, and had icecream and *sigh* i miss her already..oh!but i still love Exhibit A and my other friend too, for being there!;)

~~and that night, i got home at 1130pm. My mom was like, "i thought you forgot where home was." But she's cool..now.hehe;) My favourite part that night was not the movie, not the food, not OU and all the 'rempits' who came for the UV nation, but it was my friends. No matter how much time i spend with them, it's never enough!Im insatiable when it comes to my lurvelies..
Guys, i love you for who you are:)

~~oh, and a warning. Never wear a skirt when u plan to watch 2movies back-to-back, not even when you watch one movie! It freezes your feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, and of course your asses off!haha. Lesson well learnt i say:)

::Never wear a skirt to a movie-marathon!::

~~Getting our tickets 30minutes before our 1st movie, The Namesake, was our first mistake of the day.

~~Few days before before the weekend, some friends and i planned a movie marathon, non-stop action as we thought. We wanted to go and catch the latest Mira Nair movie, The Namesake, Ocean's Thirteen, and Shrek3. But since, i just saw Shrek3 a few days earlier, we decided to skip it altogether, and just stick to the 'heavy' movies.haha.

~~And so, when we got to OU, we had to wait for quite some time, cos we were waiting for another friend. Why did we have to wait, you ask? well well well..

~~This particular friend, whom i shall refer to as Exhibit A, is afraid. She fears walking to the mall alone, entering the mall alone, walking through the mall alone, and uhmm..what else can you do alone?? (you get the point.) And so my other friend and i waited in the car, at the bus area, right before the main entrance of OU, for Exhibit A to arrive. When she did, we then proceeded to the carpark area, and again she wanted to cari parking 'sama-sama' haha. you know, just in case the carpark-bogeyman grabs her from underneath the BMW 318i next door...

~~We finally got our tickets for a 2.15 The Namesake and 5.00 Ocean's 13. ahh what perfect timing! a small window of break to probably eat, go pee, and what-nots in between both movies..and since we only had 20minutes till the 1st movie:/ (we wanted to catch up on some gossip) we planned to go window shopping after both movies.

~~The Namesake (or Na-ma-sa-kay, as Exhibit A mentioned as she initially thought it was a japanese movie, when she read the marathon-invitation through sms.) is a movie about adapting to something new without losing hold of something old. It tells a tale of an Indian man who married a typical Indian woman and then immediately after the wedding ceremony, they left for the land of oppotunities ('of whether to die from drug/sex/booze or unnecessary and uncalled for wars'), the USA. they raised a family there, a son (Nikhail Gogol) and a daughter (Sonia). The movie features the unfolding of the lives of the 2children, their excuse of a relationship with their parents, their parents growing old in a land not theirs, and how drastic a measure is needed, in order to make people realise never to take for granted the ones you love. A harrowing, realistic life story of how a boy became a man, at the expense of something dear to him. It certainly made my friends and i realise that we all are living on borrowed time..

~~lemme just tell you that in the 1st 10minutes, my friend Exhibit A deduced that "hey, Adora, ni bukan citer Jepun eh?ni citer hindustan eh?" Upon this question, my other friend and i just started laughing, and any attempts to explain that the movie will be in english was to no avail. So we decided to just let her watch the movie and judge.

~~At the end of the movie, it didnt matter whether the movie was in Japanese, Hindi or English. the movie spoke in one unanimous language; language of love. (yep, love is the theme of the world haha)

~~TO BE CONTINUED
